  • Able and willing to work from our Redwood City, CA. office.
  • Available to work during the summer of 2025 (May through September).
  • By the start of the internship, actively enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD program in a technical or quantitative discipline, and returning back to the school program at the completion of the internship.
  • Candidates pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree must be graduating and obtaining the degree by June of 2026.
  • Experience with SQL, Python and/or R coding languages.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time while paying attention to detail and translate analysis results into business recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently, owning projects end-to-end, solving problems without much guidance.
Responsibilities
  • Drive performance improvement and cost efficiency in our product through a deep understanding of the ML and infra system, and provide a data driven insight and scientific solution.
  • Work on and improve various components of our ad-tech stack including ranking, retrieval, auction/bidding and budget pacing.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis to influence R&D decisions and strategies: analyze a large dataset with queries and scripts, extract valuable signals out of noise, and produce actionable insights into how we could optimize Moloco’s complex bidding system.
  • Design and deploy advanced optimization approaches to improve our ad-delivery: identifying the best ranking, retrieval and bidding strategies that strike the right balance between ROI and revenue trade-offs.
  • Validating and quantifying the efficiency and performance gain from hypotheses through rigorous simulation and modeling.
  • Developing a robust experiment design and metric framework, and providing reliable and unbiased insights for product and business decision making.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest researches and developments in experimentation and causal inference, and identify opportunities of applying these techniques to business challenges.
