Requirements
  • Experience with core AWS platform architecture, including Organizations, account design, virtual private cloud, subnets, and segmentation strategies.
  • Experience monitoring the operations and security of EC2, containers, and AWS services.
  • Familiarity with executing CloudFormation stacks and Terraform scripts.
  • Familiarity with network connectivity using AWS Direct Connect and AWS Site-to-Site VPNs.
  • Familiarity with encryption using AWS Key Management Service.
  • Familiarity with logging using CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
  • Experience working within a continuous integration environment using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, and Bitbucket version-control systems.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as DataDog, Kibana, and Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, Ant, and Grunt.
  • Expertise in Amazon S3 for object storage, lifecycle management, versioning, replication, and data security.
  • Experience with AWS Fargate for containerized application deployment and management.
  • Experience designing and implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Experience with RDS, PostgreSQL, and other AWS data services.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience working on Agile projects.
  • Experience working in large projects interacting with multiple teams.
  • At least 7 years of application development, maintenance, or application administration experience.
  • Three to five years of experience maintaining AWS infrastructure.
  • At least 5 years of experience with DevOps tools.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting applications on AWS.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Must have lived in the United States for 3 out of the past 5 years.
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure stability and reliability of cloud operations by monitoring and automating AWS infrastructure for the application.
  • Design and maintain AWS infrastructure, networking, security controls, API hosting environments, monitoring tools, scalability configurations, and production deployment support.
  • Execute implementation plans in AWS for initiatives ranging from load-balanced EC2 scaling groups to Lambda functions.
  • Manage AWS resources and native cloud services.
  • Maintain continuity of operations with 100% uptime.
  • Monitor and manage system resources and application performance.
