Logitech unveils Sound Shape technology in Rally Speaker 2 Pro and Max for boardrooms

Logitech has unveiled Rally Speaker 2 Pro and Rally Speaker 2 Max, audio systems featuring its proprietary Sound Shape technology for extra-large conference rooms. The speakers use arrays of 32 and 64 micro-drivers respectively to direct sound waves with precision, eliminating the need for costly ceiling speakers. The technology creates uniform sound coverage by beaming audio directly where needed, reducing echo and maintaining consistent volume across rooms up to 12 metres long. Logitech demonstrated a multilingual concept where a single speaker can aim different language feeds at opposite sides of a room simultaneously. The launch marks Logitech's entry into the professional AV market. The speakers can be demonstrated at Logitech's Silicon Valley Experience Centre, with commercial availability planned for summer 2027.

Logitech brings Gemini shortcuts to Googlebook with day-one Options+ support.

Logitech brings Gemini shortcuts to Googlebook with day-one Options+ support. Googlebook has officially landed in Australia, and Logitech is wasting no time making sure its mice and keyboards are ready for Google's new Android-focused laptop platform. Logitech has announced day-one Googlebook compatibility for a selection of its existing productivity hardware, along with a version of Logi Options+ designed to integrate directly with features built into Googlebook OS. That is potentially more interesting than simple peripheral compatibility. Googlebook represents Google's new premium laptop category, combining an Android technology stack with foundations inherited from ChromeOS and a heavy emphasis on Gemini-powered features. Through Logi Options+ for Googlebook, compatible Logitech mice and keyboards can have physical buttons or keys mapped directly to Googlebook features including Magic Pointer, Circle to Search and Gemini Dictation/Text. Logitech puts Googlebook Gemini controls on your mouse and keyboard. One of Googlebook's more unusual features is Magic Pointer. Instead of the mouse cursor merely being a navigation tool, Magic Pointer can invoke Gemini based on what is currently on screen. Logitech says users can activate it by wiggling the cursor or assign it directly to a configurable mouse button or keyboard key through Logi Options+. Examples include selecting two images and asking Gemini to turn them into a poster, or recognising a date on screen and adding it directly to the calendar. It is a sensible use of programmable peripheral buttons, particularly given how much of Googlebook's identity is built around having Gemini available contextually throughout the operating system. "Teaming up with Logitech for the launch of Googlebook ensures users get a top workspace experience right out of the box," said John Solomon, Laptops, Tablets & Android Enterprise at Google. "By bringing physical control to features like Gemini through Logi Options+, Logitech gives people a fast, intuitive way to interact with our new operating system." Which Logitech devices work with Googlebook? At launch, Logitech says the following products support Googlebook: * MX Master 4 * MX Anywhere 3S * MX Keys S * MX Keys Mini * Mobi Fold * Keys-to-Go 2 Existing Logitech features such as Horizontal Scroll and Easy-Switch also remain available, allowing users to move between a Googlebook, phone or tablet using supported devices. That multi-device support fits neatly with Google's pitch for Googlebook as a laptop designed particularly around Android phone users, rather than treating the laptop and phone as completely separate environments. "Our close collaboration with Google allowed us to be ready on day one, connecting our tools directly to Gemini so helpful intelligence features feel natural to use," said Delphine Donné, VP & General Manager, Personal Work Solutions at Logitech. "Whether navigating multiple tasks and tabs or pulling up Gemini with a single button, our tools help people work faster and stay focused on what matters." For Logitech owners considering one of the new Googlebook machines, the good news is that at least some of the better peripherals already sitting on their desk will not just work with Googlebook - they will also gain direct access to some of the operating system's headline Gemini features.

Learning Everywhere at EDUCAUSE 2026.

Learning Everywhere at EDUCAUSE 2026. Reading Time: 3 mins read Recently, Logitech joined higher education IT, AV, and technology leaders at EDUCAUSE 2026 for conversations about what it takes to support teaching and learning across today's campuses. A lot of those conversations came back to a familiar challenge: learning happens across more spaces and formats than ever before. Faculty and students are moving between classrooms, collaboration spaces, content creation environments, and emerging immersive experiences, while IT and AV teams are working to make all of that technology easier to deploy, manage, and use. That is the idea behind Learning Everywhere, and at EDUCAUSE, Logitech brought it to life across the booth. Technology for Different Ways of Teaching and Learning Rather than focusing on a single type of campus space, the Logitech booth brought together solutions designed to support a range of higher education experiences. Attendees explored tools for lecture capture and classroom sharing, including Rally Camera Streamline Kit, a camera solution for lecture capture; Scribe, which brings whiteboard content into digital sessions; and Reach, a flexible camera for sharing physical materials and demonstrations. Rally Board 65 showed how an all-in-one collaboration display can support different types of teaching and meeting spaces. Content creation had a space of its own, with Mevo Core and Mevo Start, compact streaming cameras designed for flexible video capture and live production, paired with Yeti microphones for creating and sharing video and audio content. The booth also featured MX Ink with Meta Quest for immersive learning experiences, along with Spotlight 2, Logitech's advanced presenter designed to help presenters guide attention more clearly with digital highlighting, haptic feedback, and other presentation controls. Across those experiences, many of the conversations centered on similar priorities: making technology simpler for faculty, creating more consistency across campus, and giving IT and AV teams solutions that can work across different spaces and teaching needs. Making Classroom Technology Easier to Use Those same themes came through in a conversation between Jay Lyons, Product and Portfolio Manager for Education at Logitech, and Higher Ed AV Media live from EDUCAUSE. During the interview, Jay talked about what Logitech was hearing from higher education institutions at the show. The conversations ranged from what technology makes sense for a particular space to broader questions around interoperability, consistency, and how institutions can scale technology across more of campus. For faculty, the goal is pretty simple: the technology should support the lesson, not become another thing they have to manage. Jay described a challenge Logitech often sees in higher education: classrooms where complicated instructions and unfamiliar controls can create extra work for instructors. Logitech helps address that challenge with solutions designed to be simpler to use and more consistent from room to room. Time with the Higher Education Community Some of the best conversations happened outside the booth, too. Logitech hosted a welcome reception with Zoom and others, giving customers, partners, and members of the higher education community another chance to connect after the show floor closed. EDUCAUSE 2026 reinforced something Logitech hear often in higher education: the best technology is the technology that makes teaching, learning, and support easier. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the booth, joined the conversation, or spent time with the Logitech team in Denver. Logitech is looking forward to continuing those conversations and bringing what Logitech heard back into how Logitech support higher education.
