Requirements
  • Less than 3 years of software testing or related information technology experience.
  • Ability to perform testing duties under the oversight of senior staff while learning advanced testing methodologies, design review processes, and systems integration.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, or an applicable basic certification.
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain the security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their root causes.
  • Test system modifications rigorously before real-world implementation and fleet deployment.
  • Understand how the software suite interacts with complementary hardware and network systems, providing integrated hardware/software solutions to the customer.
  • Identify appropriate implementation approaches for software test planning using specific test methodologies and techniques.
  • Participate in planning test schedules.
  • Prepare test plans for each software release.
  • Prepare, write, and refine test cases.
  • Analyze and review other software testers' test cases for coverage and accuracy.
  • Participate in software design reviews and provide input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, product designs, and project schedules.
  • Document software and application defects using formal bug-tracking systems.
  • Report defects clearly to software developers.
  • Create and maintain databases of known defects and historical test data.
  • Perform retesting and regression testing to verify defect resolution without affecting other system functionality.
  • Prepare detailed test reports and formally present findings to developers, project managers, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure products meet required cybersecurity standards and functional safety requirements before fleet deployment.
