Application/Report Developer
About the job
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related degree.
- Two to four years of development experience.
- Experience with full life-cycle design, including back-end database design and build, system navigation, and user interface design.
- Strong analytical skills to translate user requirements and mockups into extensible and maintainable reports.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment while building best practices and process improvements.
- United States citizenship or U.S. permanent resident status, or an Employment Authorization Document through a green card-related status, is required.
- Enhance the existing standard report module and create custom report classes.
- Write stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server to manipulate data.
- Create Visual Basic .NET classes using Microsoft Office COM libraries and interop assemblies to output data into formatted Excel reports or text files.
- Implement requested reports.
- Assist the team with report and template design and interpret deliverables.
- Assist in physical and logical database design.
- Maintain and create stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Develop internal applications.
- Create well-designed, reusable objects.
- Perform ad hoc data queries for quick analysis.
- Work with senior-level developers on web development.
