Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • At least 2 years of related experience administering programs or services for college students, including planning and implementing large-scale social and educational programs, creating new student programs and initiatives, advising and supervising students, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage concurrent work, are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective relationships and communicate with diverse populations and stakeholders are required.
  • Knowledge of standard office productivity software is required.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement programs and services for the Center for Student Life within the Division of University Life.
  • Develop community through large-scale programming and facilitate workshops for graduate and international students.
  • Coordinate initiatives including NYU Welcome, the Grad Life Ambassadors peer program, Grad Appreciation Week, the Lunchtime Research Discussion Series, Resource Fairs, the International Student Transition Program, International Education Week, and cross-cultural peer connections.
  • Engage and collaborate with university-wide counterparts and with areas across the Center for Student Life and campus.
  • Advise student organizations and support general student needs for the Center for Student Life.
  • Oversee university and departmental policies, assess programs and services, and support major programming.
  • Manage program budgets, communications, and marketing.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or a related area is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a college student life environment working with targeted student communities, student organizations, peer leader programs, new student orientation, or equivalent combinations is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of student development theory and higher education practices is preferred.
  • Experience creating and executing program and population assessments is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms, graphic design programs, event management, and/or student organization software is preferred.

The goal is to build a durable ecosystem that accelerates discovery, entrepreneurship, and the translation of research into real-world impact through academic programs, collaborations, and a broader joint presence in New York.
