  • Existing experience in procurement
  • Prior experience with global companies is highly valued
  • Ability to balance long term strategic procurement direction, with the day-to-day operational challenges and requirements
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, and ability to present analysed information
  • Adaptable to rapidly changing business dynamics in a fast-paced environment
  • Existing experience of contract and vendor management
  • Existing experience of vendor risk/due diligence ideally required
Responsibilities
  • Implement or uphold best practice purchasing policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance and deliver best value and business savings
  • Review and, where possible, negotiate existing agreements to optimise terms
  • Negotiate and manage contract terms with vendors to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders
  • Evaluate procurement or supply chain-related challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
  • Provide management reports and key performance data and monitor cost savings
  • Manage the execution of the vendor onboarding and offboarding processes. Set risk appetite and vendor due diligence standards with risk owners. You will be supported by a coordinator to facilitate this process, but you will need to have overall oversight and ownership of its efficiency execution and compliance rate
  • Overall ownership of contract administration and management - ensure an adequate system is up-to date for renewal tracking, scheduling contract mid-point health checks, ensuring associated documents are collected and stored
  • Plan new contracts or renewals with buyers across all areas of the business. Lead or assist with negotiation with vendors. Recommend supplier selection. Work with budget owners to plan major procurement opportunities
  • Build relationships with major vendors to negotiate the best commercial outcomes
  • Structure and assist with formal tender processes - by ensuring buyers have what they need to execute this, the right stakeholders are involved, requirements and business justifications are captured and defined, the Procurement Committee is informed, and the responses assessed adequately
  • Own and enforce the Procurement Policy. Supervise the development and execution of the procurement plan and have overall ownership of the function. Structure and coordinate the Procurement Committee and host weekly sessions
  • Manage the prioritization and visibility of the vendor onboarding pipeline across the business. Update relevant stakeholders in the procurement process of progress, expected timelines, potential blockers, workflow tracking etc
  • Manage a historic vendor audit and consolidate our supplier base across Genius portfolio companies; through determining buying synergies, prioritizing opportunities for aggregated buying, VBDs, terminating dormant contracts etc
  • Update the 'Third Party & Supply Chain Risk Register'. Propose and action risk mitigations where required or seek guidance from SMEs on third party risks
  • Ensure professional and consistent vendor management is applied across the business ensuring that buyers have access to the right toolkit to facilitate contract change, termination or performance improvement initiatives. Liaise with Finance and Legal on any contract payment or performance issues
  • Assist Finance with vendors in Workday, with the PO, PR and create supplier processes, entering supplier Information and uploading orders and contracts to Workday
  • Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any ESG policies and procedures - work in partnership to execute the annual Anti Modern Slavery & Responsible Sourcing programme, for example
  • Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
