Requirements
  • Graduation from an ultrasonography program and/or registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
  • Registration in echocardiography as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification upon hire.
Responsibilities
  • Provide an optimal cardiovascular imaging experience.
  • Perform and support cardiovascular imaging procedures, including transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacements, Watchman and MitraClip implantation, and alcohol septal ablation procedures.
  • Work with other health care professionals to provide a positive experience to patients, families and visitors.
  • Work at a variety of locations, including a Level 1 Trauma Center, critical care facility and clinics in the Madison area.
Desired Qualifications
  • Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs accredited ultrasonography training program or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasonography, Radiology, Biological Sciences or a relevant health sciences field.
  • Two years of echocardiography experience.
  • Registration in echocardiography and vascular ultrasound (Registered Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer and Registered Vascular Technologist or Registered Vascular Sonographer) preferred.
