Responsibilities
  • Report to the Senior Director of Corporate Affairs for the ELMAC region and serve as part of the commercial affiliate.
  • Plan, execute and measure strategic communications.
  • Manage external communications, including media relations, digital media and social media.
  • Manage issues and internal communications.
  • Serve as a member of the affiliate Leadership Team and provide senior strategic counsel aligned with business priorities, corporate reputation and market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with Brand, Value, Access & Pricing, Medical Affairs, Government Affairs, Human Resources and other functions in a matrixed organization.
  • Coordinate with the ELMAC Corporate Affairs strategic team in Portugal by localizing provided materials to country-specific needs and sharing insights and learnings.
  • Execute external communications, leadership messaging, issues management and internal communications tactics.
  • Understand key Canadian audiences to ensure appropriate and aligned messaging.
  • Track key market trends, tactical impact and signals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key Canadian journalists.
  • Manage social media channels with an appropriate strategy to reach target audiences.
  • Support local issues management, including monitoring and escalation, in partnership with regional and global colleagues when needed.
  • Leverage employee communications initiatives to convey important updates and support connectivity across internal audiences.
  • Learn about and leverage innovative tools, including enterprise artificial intelligence technologies, to focus on high-impact work.
  • Ensure communications support aligns with local pharmaceutical policy requirements, ESG requirements, local regulations, laws and corporate policies.

Amgen and AstraZeneca lung cancer drug combo meets survival goal in phase III study
