Requirements
  • Previous hotel housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the English language is required to communicate effectively with guests, associates, and vendors.
  • Ability to accurately report information.
  • Ability to follow safety training and proper techniques for bending, stretching, arm movement, and lifting.
  • Ability to follow company and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Attendance at required meetings.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Ability to push a minimum of 20 pounds.
  • Ability to perform pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, and manual dexterity tasks.
  • Ability to hear, write, and read.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
Responsibilities
  • Report to the Housekeeping Office at the beginning of each shift, pick up and sign out a key, and return the key at the end of the shift.
  • Clean and maintain all assigned rooms and suites daily, including stripping beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, checking room lights and televisions, spot cleaning, and stocking room supplies.
  • Report missing items from rooms and suites.
  • Report items needing repair to the supervisor and maintain equipment used in the work.
  • Protect guest safety and well-being and maintain courteous interactions with guests and coworkers.
  • Keep doors closed while cleaning for safety and security.
  • Take all lost-and-found items to the Housekeeping Office as soon as they are found.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Additional language ability is preferred.
  • High school education is preferred.
