Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another STEM or business-related field.
  • Achieve a minimum GPA of 3.5.
  • Have an interest in the Casualty Actuarial Society, Society of Actuaries, or Chartered Financial Analyst track.
  • Have a strong interest in strategy consulting and actuarial applications.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to navigate ambiguous or strategic business challenges.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work collaboratively and independently.
  • Have permanent, unrestricted U.S. work authorization; CPT and OPT are considered restricted forms of work authorization.
Responsibilities
  • Support consultants and actuaries in analyzing business problems using data, research, and structured problem-solving approaches.
  • Conduct industry and market research to help inform client recommendations.
  • Assist in developing presentations, financial analyses, and other client deliverables.
  • Collaborate with project teams to support engagement execution and learn consulting best practices.
  • Support actuarial analyses related to pricing, forecasting, financial performance, valuation, reserving, loss forecasting, and risk financing programs, depending on practice.
  • Work with healthcare datasets to identify trends, summarize findings, and develop insights.
  • Assist with data analysis, assumption reviews, sensitivity testing, industry research, benchmarking studies, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Prepare client-ready presentations, exhibits, analytical summaries, and presentation materials.
  • Research industry trends and emerging topics to support client engagements.
  • Compile, organize, and analyze data to develop exhibits and summarize key findings.
  • Collaborate with consultants and actuaries to support project delivery, client service, and client-ready analyses and deliverables.
  • Participate in the actuarial bootcamp, including presentations, case studies, and mentorship sessions over six weeks during the summer.
Desired Qualifications
  • Technical familiarity with Excel, R, Python, SQL, SAS, or VBA.
