Assist the department, under the supervision of a pharmacist and with accountability to the Pharmacy Director, in procuring, packaging, distributing, and controlling medications for patients.
Receive and stock medications.
Prepare unit-dose, bulk, and intravenous medications for dispensing.
Pre-package non-unit-dose medications.
Check Pyxis inventory and refill medications in Pyxis units.
Deliver medication doses.
Prepare intravenous admixtures.
Maintain thorough knowledge of patients' right to confidentiality.
Desired Qualifications
National certification is preferred, or must be completed within one year.
Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
