Requirements
  • Qualifications in Electrical Engineering with specialisation in power system analysis.
  • Knowledge of energy systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • Working knowledge of Electricity System and Market Rules and Technical Rules.
  • Experience in power system analysis in generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
  • Experience with power systems modelling and analysis tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory; proficiency with ETAP, PSCAD, and Python is advantageous.
  • Knowledge and experience with planning and connection studies, including load flow and fault analysis.
  • Knowledge and experience in stability analysis, dynamic studies, and generator performance standards assessment.
  • Solid communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to attend project and partner meetings.
Responsibilities
  • Provide support to power projects being delivered across Australia.
  • Develop power system models for connection of generators, loads, and battery energy storage systems and configure them to align with local and national regulations.
  • Generate models, studies, and reports for network service providers, the Australian Energy Market Operator, developers, and industrial clients.
  • Support project managers and bid coordinators in preparing proposals for new work.
