About the job

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of technical project management experience in data center deployment, construction, whitespace fitout, or infrastructure delivery, including experience coordinating technical security requirements or remediation.
  • Understanding of data center build sequences, commissioning, operational handover, and dependencies that can affect deployment timelines.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure security concepts, including network segmentation, privileged access, secure configuration, vulnerability management, and logging and monitoring.

  • Ability to translate technical requirements into clear deliverables, schedules, owners, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to surface risks early and drive them to resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects, prioritize competing demands, and adapt to aggressive timelines.
  • Willingness to travel to data center sites as needed to meet with vendors and assess site conditions before and after deployment; travel is expected to average 10–15%, with periods up to 35–40% depending on project phase and site needs.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the security workstream for new data center sites and expansions from project kickoff through whitespace fitout, commissioning, operational handover, and day-2 deployment.
  • Partner with Information Security and technical owners to identify applicable requirements, establish deliverables and acceptance criteria, and incorporate them into project plans.
  • Work with Construction, Facilities, Engineering, Networking, and Operations to integrate security requirements into designs, installation plans, deployment sequences, and commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate security-related deliverables with general contractors, subcontractors, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades, and equipment vendors; clarify responsibilities and resolve dependencies that could affect build schedules.
  • Track implementation of approved controls for network segmentation, administrative and remote access, infrastructure hardening, and security logging and monitoring, including facility management systems where applicable.
  • Coordinate security reviews and testing at appropriate milestones; track findings, confirm remediation evidence with technical owners, and coordinate approval of outstanding exceptions before handover.
  • Maintain security milestones, dependencies, resource needs, and risk registers; assess the impact of design or schedule changes and escalate decisions that could affect security readiness or delivery.
  • Coordinate post-launch security expansions, fixes, and remediation with technical owners; manage vendor engagement and delivery, track schedules and findings, and confirm completion with Security Operations.
  • Coordinate documentation, support ownership, access procedures, and security escalation paths so Operations can support the site after deployment.
  • Provide concise updates on progress, blockers, outstanding findings, and decisions needed across concurrent builds.
  • Develop security-readiness checklists and project processes that can be applied consistently across greenfield sites and data hall expansions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience delivering security workstreams for greenfield data centers or data hall expansions.
  • Familiarity with the security of building management systems, electrical power monitoring systems, or other operational technology used in data centers.
  • Experience supporting high-performance computing, GPU infrastructure, or large-scale cloud deployments.
  • Experience coordinating security reviews, commissioning evidence, and operational readiness assessments.
  • Relevant project management, data center, or security certifications.

Neocloud "death spiral" fears hit AI boom as CoreWeave's $32B debt and equity pile meets 16% rates

Shares in "neocloud" firms such as CoreWeave, Nebius and Iren have slumped as investors balk at heavy losses and high borrowing costs. Nvidia and Oracle shares are down 10% from their peak earlier this month. CoreWeave has raised $32bn in debt and equity to fund 51 data centres, yet reported revenue of just $4.6bn in the first six months of the year. Interest rates on some of its debt briefly hit 16% last week. HSBC analysts said its return on investment is 8.9%, well below borrowing costs, and judged it overvalued by 50%. Australia's Firmus has cancelled a £20bn IPO. Gartner analyst Will Sommer predicts 80% of neoclouds will cease independent operations by 2030, and that $3.5tn in AI infrastructure spending could be written off. Nvidia's chief executive, Jensen Huang, says the sector faces a "scarcity of capital", not weak demand.

Blackstone's $2.3 Billion CoreWeave Bet Sparked a Trillion-Dollar AI Lending Boom

In 2023, executives at Blackstone (NYSE:BX) asked CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV) two questions: “What is a GPU?” and “Is AI real?” Three years later, the $2.3 billion financing Blackstone helped arrange has become the blueprint for a chip-backed lending market that could...

Goldman upgrades CoreWeave to Buy with $106 target despite 56% share slump

Goldman Sachs upgraded CoreWeave from Neutral to Buy on October 19, 2026, even as it cut its 12-month price target from $139 to $106. The new target implies a gain of about 73% from the October 16 close of $61.39. CoreWeave shares have lost nearly half their value since August, partly because yields on its 2031 and 2032 bonds climbed to around 15%. Analyst Gabriela Borges argues investors have overestimated the effect of future borrowing and underestimated the profit from new data center contracts. CoreWeave rents Nvidia chips to firms such as Meta and OpenAI. It had locked in about $104 billion in future revenue by the end of the second quarter, but posted a $626 million net loss that quarter. Ark Invest bought about $25.8 million of the stock in mid-October.

Neoclouds explained: GPU providers behind the AI boom face a $3.5T impairment risk

Neoclouds, specialist providers that rent out GPU capacity for AI training and inference, have gone from unknown startups to listed companies with contracts worth billions of dollars. CoreWeave, Nebius and IREN lead the listed group; Lambda, Crusoe and Fluidstack remain private. Their shares fell hard in October 2026. CoreWeave dropped 29%, leaving it valued at about $34 billion against a 2025 peak of about $90 billion; Nebius fell 27% and IREN 32%. CoreWeave's unsecured debt yielded about 15%. On October 14, 2026, Gartner predicted that more than 80% of neocloud providers will stop operating independently by 2030. It also warned that more than $3.5 trillion of AI infrastructure spending could face impairment. Demand remains strong. CoreWeave co-founder Brannin McBee said nearly all of its 2027 capacity is sold.

Blackstone's Gray says CoreWeave will "find a way through" financing strain on $51.6B debt

Blackstone president and chief operating officer Jon Gray says CoreWeave will "find a way through" its financing pressure. He told CNBC the neocloud company has a talented chief executive officer and a strong underlying business. CoreWeave's stock has fallen 14% over the past week, while bond yields and credit default swap spreads have risen. The company has roughly $51.6 billion in total debt, including about $35 billion in notes, bonds, and loans. Gray said demand for computing power is strong, with compute pricing up 50% for neoclouds that get through. Their legacy chips are worth more than expected, he added, and their data centres are leased below market. Blackstone reported third-quarter revenue of $3.22 billion, below the $3.28 billion analysts expected. Adjusted earnings of $1.32 per share beat the $1.26 estimate.
