Responsibilities
  • Support value creation by analyzing process performance and developing key metrics to improve safety, environmental, production, quality, value, yield, and digital transformation performance.
  • Supervise and coordinate production efforts to sustain improvements in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance, reliability, quality, production, and costs.
  • Use data analytics and a structured approach to problem solving.
  • Develop and apply strategies to optimize ongoing production in conjunction with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams throughout the organization.
  • Identify gaps, collaborate with site and divisional personnel to assess and prioritize opportunities, and outline execution strategies.
  • Oversee product quality records, including certificates of analysis, calibration records, production records, process validations, department checks, and other records defined by the QMS Manual and Records and Information Compliance Standards.
  • Manage product quality, value, and yield to contribute to facility success.
  • Serve as a liaison between Georgia-Pacific and third-party auditors.
  • Enforce standard operating procedures and coach production personnel on QMS program responsibilities, including quality checks, data collection, and oversight of noncompliant products.
  • Work with plant leadership and production personnel to recognize and correct noncompliant conditions in all production departments, ensure prompt and appropriate root cause analysis and corrective actions, and serve as gatekeeper for customer claim responses.
Desired Qualifications
  • Five years of experience as a Process or Quality Engineer, or in a related discipline.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Lean Six Sigma training.
  • Experience in a wood products environment.
  • Supervisory experience.
