About the job
- Currently pursuing a degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Business, or Finance.
- Proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
- Experience with relational database modeling, including creating and managing data models.
- Ability to communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small-group situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion with business information.
- Ability to read and understand policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Familiarity with relational databases, Microsoft Excel, data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau, and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to sit continuously; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms regularly, and stand and walk occasionally.
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds.
- Close vision is required.
- Translate business questions into specific data and reporting requirements.
- Design and develop data models using relational databases.
- Develop and monitor Power BI reports that deliver actionable insights.
- Validate internal data for integrity, identify gaps, and collaborate to resolve gaps.
- Train users and present findings of analyses.
- Maintain project documentation.
- Gather and analyze data for ad hoc analysis.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
- Junior, senior, or graduate student status is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, or database administration is nice to have.
