Requirements
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of customer service experience, preferably with Sam’s Club background in consumer-packaged goods supply chain or operations.
  • Experience with NOVA is preferable.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Ability to set and achieve goals and engage in creative problem solving.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple functional areas in the organization.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction, solve problems creatively, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Own customer service processes for Sam’s Club.
  • Receive, enter, confirm, and coordinate logistics for each customer order.
  • Process EDI imports for pool and script orders.
  • Coordinate script orders with Logistics for freight management.
  • Analyze customer orders and propose continuous improvements and optimizations.
  • Access internal Sam’s Club systems daily to research Sam’s orders.
  • Use the GRS replenishment system to check order accuracy, execution, item setup, transportation mode maintenance, lead-time maintenance, order-increment maintenance, and presentation maintenance.
  • Manage and adjust the club forecast based on the last 4-8 weeks of sales trends to maintain accurate demand in GRS and avoid club-level out-of-stocks.
  • Analyze the internal GRS forecast and compare it with Kinder’s internal forecast to ensure alignment and accuracy.
  • Own GRS maintenance for all Kinder’s items.
  • Collaborate weekly with Sam’s Category Replenishment managers on new ideas, business updates, and initiatives, and develop action plans for improvements.
  • Drive sales efficiencies through end-of-life item maintenance, accurate forecasting, presentation-setting updates, safety-stock-setting updates in GRS, and item-club burn-profile maintenance.
  • Develop burn settings to improve inventory burn-down and prevent excess inventory, inflated markdowns, and heavy inventory throughout the item lifecycle.
  • Partner with Operations to move inventory efficiently at Sam’s and Kinder’s and prevent high leftover or slow-moving inventory at RJW.
  • Investigate high on-hand inventory to maintain optimum inventory levels in all clubs and develop runout strategies.
  • Build reporting for the internal VPS and Kinder’s teams and share results with Sam’s, Kinder’s, and VPS stakeholders.
  • Track late or delayed shipments each morning, escalate issues, and support timeliness and OTIF goals.
  • Develop partnerships with Sam’s replenishment teams to improve inventory efficiency, productivity, and Kinder’s sales.
  • Partner with Kinder’s Sales on promotional ideas, traffic-driving initiatives, and settings that reflect those initiatives.
  • Support cost savings related to freight, warehousing, and fines or fees.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, internal customer-support groups, and external partners to resolve customer issues and support business goals.
