Requirements
  • Interventional Radiology experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant is required.
  • Prior experience in Interventional Radiology as a Registered Nurse will be considered.
  • A master's degree is required for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Board certification as a Primary Care or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or board certification as a Physician Assistant, is required.
  • An active New Jersey license is required.
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Basic Life Support certification are required.
  • Current CDS/DEA authorization is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide procedural and clinical care to adult inpatients and outpatients at Cooper University Hospital and MD Anderson at Cooper University.
  • Independently and collaboratively manage new and established patients.
  • Review pertinent imaging.
  • Provide consultation services.
  • Perform image-guided procedures.
  • Practice autonomously or in consultation with collaborating or supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients' health problems and needs.
  • Perform patient histories and physical examinations and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Order, perform, supervise, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests and procedures.
  • Prescribe pharmacologic agents and provide non-pharmacologic therapies in accordance with applicable guidelines and state and federal law.
  • Provide therapeutic measures, teaching, education, and counseling to individuals, families, and groups.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses while emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Serve as a healthcare researcher, professional educator, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.
  • Maintain current medical knowledge and provide evidence-based medical practice through required continuing education.
  • Maintain accountability for healthcare outcomes, clinical skills, peer review, clinical outcome evaluations, ethical practice, and continuing professional development.
  • Complete orientation with an experienced advanced practice provider or physician covering all roles and expectations.
