Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in science or engineering is required.
  • Three to five years of minimum experience is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations and applicable Department of Transportation, National Fire Protection Association, environmental, and consensus standards is required.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Department of Transportation, and National Fire Protection Association requirements is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Lists, Power BI, Access, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and Visio, is required.
  • Ability to perform technical work functions with minimal supervision or training is required.
  • Ability to assist in developing and managing workplace occupational safety and health programs is required.
  • Strong technical writing, proofreading, data management, data entry, and analytical skills are required.
  • A Top Secret security clearance must be obtained before beginning work and maintained throughout contract performance.
  • Ability to support environmental compliance and handle, store, and prepare hazardous materials for disposal according to installation-specific procedures is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform safety inspections and Occupational Safety and Health Administration compliance audits.
  • Develop safety programs and training.
  • Prepare technical reports and reporting materials.
  • Provide technically competent support for the development and management of occupational safety and health programs.
  • Provide evidence-based guidance to client stakeholders on occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental, and health programs.
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and safe work environments and immediately remediate hazardous spills or unsafe conditions within operational areas.
  • Communicate with employees, contractors, visitors, and client stakeholders through verbal, telephone, email, and in-person channels.
  • Adapt administrative practices, technologies, and work techniques to evolving program requirements.
  • Support environmental compliance activities and deliver hazardous materials and waste exclusively to designated authorized collection points.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certified Safety Professional certification is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, and Visio is preferred.
