Requirements
  • Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A trade license is preferred, such as plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, or carpentry.
  • A valid driver's license for the applicable state is required.
  • An acceptable motor vehicle driving record is required.
  • The role requires passing a motor vehicle background check and a criminal background check.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the operation, maintenance, service, and repair of assigned equipment.
  • Participate in the preventative maintenance program.
  • Handle guest requests and other assigned work orders.
  • Perform trade work such as carpentry, painting, and plumbing.
  • Drive the shuttle van when needed, when applicable to the property.
  • Change light bulbs and perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms, including vinyl repair, touch-up painting, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, and tile repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, guestrooms, meeting rooms, swimming pools, and hot tubs.
  • Perform plumbing and laundry equipment repairs and preventative maintenance on exhaust fans and supply systems.
  • Monitor energy conservation.
  • Repair vacuum cleaners and other small equipment upon request.
  • Immediately follow up on alarms to determine their exact location and cause, determine emergency status, and report findings to the Front Desk.
  • Perform other tasks and duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • Perform the job safely and efficiently.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a hotel or related field.
  • A license in a trade such as plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, or carpentry.
