Adams Street raises $7.5B for third private credit fund

Adams Street Partners has closed its third private credit fund with $7.5 billion in committed capital, including leverage. The platform attracted approximately 40 per cent of commitments from investors outside the United States. The closure brings Adams Street's total private credit strategy assets to $15 billion, making it the firm's second-largest investment strategy since the programme's inception in 2016. The private credit team focuses on providing senior financing to sponsor-backed middle-market companies. Adams Street has been expanding its European presence alongside its North American operations to build a global direct lending platform. Bill Sacher, partner and head of private credit at Adams Street, attributed the successful fundraise to portfolio quality and investor confidence in the firm's ability to protect capital.
