Requirements
  • Follow on-site safe work practices, including Fall Protection training, First Aid, and WHMIS.
  • Wear required equipment and personal protective equipment and follow health and safety regulations and injury prevention procedures.
  • Read and interpret specification sheets.
  • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and comfort working with your hands.
  • Use troubleshooting abilities to analyze problems and provide solutions.
  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, changing team environment with little supervision.
  • Prioritize and organize daily work to meet multiple deadlines and customer needs.
  • Have 2 or more years of experience as a CNC Machine Operator on a production line.
  • Have knowledge of lamination setups on a CNC machine.
  • Use saws, cutting tools, and other hand tools.
  • Use various methods of measurement and verification, including millimeters and inches.
  • Use computer applications in the manufacturing process.
  • Have knowledge of Lean and 6S.
  • Work with diverse cultures and a varied workforce.
  • Have a High School Diploma.
  • Lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Work day and/or evening shifts as production demands require.
  • Be available for overtime on short notice due to operational needs.
Responsibilities
  • Set up, calibrate, maintain, and repair lamination machinery and machine tools as needed.
  • Monitor machine rollers and other moving parts during production and adjust speeds or movements as needed.
  • Keep a daily activity log of production notes, including totals and defects.
  • Run test products to verify production quality and accuracy meet established standards.
  • Complete production on time while maintaining quality and safety.
  • Analyze machine operations and output.
  • Adjust machines for changeovers, different functions, and other production needs.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement efforts through standardized work to reduce costs and improve productivity and quality.
  • Fit and assemble components and machine parts.
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Prioritize and complete production according to schedule.
  • Report activities and hazards that may create an unsafe work environment.
