Requirements
  • You have engineering-school training or high-level training in information technology.
  • You ideally have initial experience in DevOps, cloud, software engineering, or data engineering.
  • You have a good level of Python sufficient to contribute to backend projects.
  • You master a containerization solution such as Docker.
  • You have experience with services from at least one cloud-services platform, such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure.
  • You are familiar with continuous integration and continuous deployment techniques and tools.
  • You are comfortable using Docker and automating continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
  • You have a strong interest in developing skills with Kubernetes if you do not yet have experience with it.
  • You have an interest in data and artificial-intelligence challenges and the ability to quickly develop skills in these areas.
  • You speak French and English fluently in a professional context.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in Sia Partners' data-science assignments with clients.
  • Support data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers on data-intensive projects.
  • Address technical challenges involving automation, distributed-computing systems, cloud services, and putting services into production and maintaining them in production.
  • Contribute actively to technology, architecture, and governance decisions for scaling data projects.
  • Choose cloud architecture and use storage and compute services.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud costs and manage access levels.
  • Containerize and orchestrate applications and manage Kubernetes clusters suited to data workloads.
  • Develop server-side Python tools, including automation scripts and microservices.
  • Manage continuous integration and continuous deployment of data-oriented applications.
Desired Qualifications
  • Mastery of another programming language.
  • Mastery of one or more container-orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.

Sia acquires Kaiser Associates to launch global corporate strategy and M&A business line

Sia, a global management consulting group, has acquired Kaiser Associates, a US-based strategy consulting firm, to launch a dedicated Corporate Strategy, Private Equity and M&A business line spanning the US, UK, France, Middle East and Australia. Founded in 1981, Kaiser Associates brings 65 consultants and operates from Washington, D.C., New York and London. The firm specialises in go-to-market strategy, growth assessments and market landscaping for Fortune 500 executives and private equity funds. Kaiser Associates' leadership team, including Ali Cumber, Paul Mumma and Jon Meyerholz, will join Sia as partners, with Meyerholz heading the new business line as managing partner.
