Requirements
  • At least 4 years of experience performing mission analysis, working with information security technologies, and supporting United States Space Force mission capabilities.
  • CISSP or Security+ certification, plus one of GICSP, GCED, PenTest+, or GSEC, or a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited or Center for Academic Excellence-designated institution.
  • A Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance is required.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Ability to differentiate critical and non-critical systems, networks, and capabilities and understand how organizations defend against and respond to security events, increased risks, and operational directives.
  • Knowledge of assessing systems and networks within a network or enclave and identifying deviations from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
  • Ability to measure the effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge and experience supporting analysis tasks.
  • Extensive knowledge of mission assurance disciplines, including risk management, mission mapping, vulnerability assessments, and defensive cyber capabilities.
  • Detailed understanding of mission analysis techniques, Functional Mission Analysis–Cyber methodologies, and mission dependencies.
  • Ability to solve complex problems involving a wide variety of information systems.
  • Familiarity with the purpose and use of the Mission Assurance Database Support System and similar database repositories.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct Mission Relevant Terrain–Cyber analysis and assist with follow-on defensive cyber actions for priority United States Space Force missions and assets.
  • Perform mission analysis by identifying cyber dependencies and vulnerabilities and developing mission cyber defense sensor strategies.
  • Analyze mission-related cyberspace network activities to support mission success across command and control, operational processes, and dependent space mission systems.
  • Identify, assess, and implement mitigations for risks within local cyberspace terrain critical to mission accomplishment.
  • Develop mission thread data to help mission owners, cybersecurity personnel, defensive cyber operators, and program offices assess risks caused by cybersecurity deficiencies in systems and programs.
  • Use collected information to create and deliver Operational Risk Assessments and Asset Defense Plans.
  • Analyze Mission Relevant Terrain–Cyber results against mission system vulnerabilities and cyber threats to identify Key Terrain–Cyber for each United States Space Force mission.
  • Provide mission analysis support to United States Space Force Mission Relevant Terrain–Cyber teams to assess mission systems, cyberspace dependencies, security risks, mission vulnerabilities, and defense-plan measures.
  • Enter mission data accurately into the Mission Assurance Decision Support System.
Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Functional Mission Analysis–Cyber.
  • Experience with Space Force capabilities and related assets.
