Test Engineer
About the job
- A Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Computer Application, or Bachelor of Engineering/Technology is required.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and processes.
- Knowledge of end-to-end framework tools such as Protractor or behavior-driven development framework tools such as Cucumber.
- Hands-on knowledge of Selenium tools, including Selenium IDE, Selenium RC, Selenium WebDriver, and Selenium Grid.
- Knowledge of element locators and WebDriver methods.
- Ability to implement test automation frameworks using Selenium and create and execute scripts in Selenium IDE and Selenium WebDriver.
- Knowledge of exception handling, file handling, and parameterization.
- Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, TestNG, and Java programming fundamentals, including variables, data types, operators, and flow controls.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Proficiency in designing test artifacts such as test cases, test scenarios, and requirements traceability matrices.
- Experience with defined testing processes or methodologies.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.
- Knowledge of SQL and scripting.
- Proven work experience in software testing using automation tools.
- Five or more years of experience in testing.
- Flexible working hours, including availability on weekends and late hours when required.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test scenarios.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
- Prepare data-driven test scripts.
- Conduct regression testing, support and review test scripts, and perform thorough regression testing after bugs are resolved.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Identify, record, document, and track bugs.
- Prepare script execution reports.
- Liaise with internal teams, including developers and product managers, to identify system requirements.
- Monitor debugging process results.
- Investigate causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
- Track quality metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
- Stay up to date with testing tools and test strategies.
- Design and document comprehensive test plans.
- A certification in the quality control field, such as ISTQB certification.
- A Master of Computer Application, or a Master's in Computer Science, Science, Engineering/Technology in Computer Science/Information Technology, or Computer/Telecommunication Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience with performance testing or security testing.
- Knowledge of Python, Selenium, and Cypress.
- Understanding of Agile practices.
