Responsibilities
Assist in preparing individual and business tax returns under supervision.
Organize and review financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
Conduct basic tax research on federal, state, and local regulations.
Support preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
Enter and reconcile transactions in accounting software.
Maintain and update client records in digital and physical formats.
Protect the confidentiality of sensitive financial and personal information.
Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for client files.
Provide clerical support, including scanning, filing, and data entry.
Assist accountants and tax preparers with daily tasks and projects.
Attend staff meetings and contribute to workflow improvements.
Shadow experienced tax preparers and accountants to learn best practices.
Gain exposure to IRS regulations, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and firm-specific procedures.
Participate in training sessions on tax software and accounting tools.
Desired Qualifications
0–2 years of experience in tax administration work or equivalent is preferred.

The Tax Intern position offers exposure to tax compliance, accounting, and administrative functions within a professional services environment. Interns will assist with tax returns, financial statements, and client documentation while developing skills in tax research, software tools, and industry procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Tax Preparation & Support
