- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Preferred: One year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Preferred in specific units: an additional life support credential such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program, or another clinical specialty certification.
- Visual color acuity screening may be required depending on the role in specific units.
- Render direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in accordance with the hospital's philosophy, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Work under the direction of the Registered Nurse in an assigned clinical area.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve patient function and protect patient health and safety.
- Participate in the Licensed Practical Nurse – Nursing Excellence Track Program.
- One year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- An additional life support credential such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program, or another clinical specialty certification, may be preferred in specific units.
