About the job

Requirements
  • A Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree is required.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is preferred, with maintenance of certification.
  • Board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is required.
  • Long-term care experience is required.
Responsibilities
  • Take complete responsibility for patients admitted to the assigned service.
  • Complete the AlignMed Partners credentialing process.
  • Visit assigned patients in a timely manner according to company policy and procedure.
  • Comply with guidelines related to AlignMed Partners initiatives and the Medical Staff Rules and Regulations.
  • Comply with AlignMed Partners Corporate Integrity policies.
  • Assess patients and ensure a complete history and physical examination is documented within 72 hours after admission to the center.
  • Deliver high-quality care to assigned patients.
  • Work closely with the Center Medical Director to improve care in the facility.
  • Coordinate transfer and care arrangements with area hospitals and other pertinent institutions.
  • Articulate the AlignMed Partners mission to the community and professional organizations.
  • Establish appropriate relationships with area hospitals and other pertinent institutions.
  • Demonstrate care and compassion so internal and external customers receive high-quality service.
  • Comply with AlignMed Partners time-off and on-call policies.
  • Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies, and procedures, including the Compliance Process, Standard/Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act, and HIPAA.
  • Participate in required orientation and training programs.
  • Report concerns and suspected incidents of non-compliance to management or the Compliance Officer.
  • Cooperate with monitoring, audit, and investigation functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Geriatrics specialization is desirable.
