Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar business position.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Proven experience in Environmental Health and Safety roles, including field inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigation.
  • A strong understanding of regulatory requirements and safety standards.
  • Problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead training sessions and drive Environmental Health and Safety initiatives.
  • Competency in maintaining and analyzing safety performance metrics.
Responsibilities
  • Implement and uphold Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures aimed at minimizing risks to personnel.
  • Support and execute project-specific site safety plans to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Identify and mitigate unsafe conditions using feedback from the Voice of the Team employee observation process.
  • Maintain accountability for the Environmental Health and Safety 5 Star Key Performance Indicator function, ensuring timely resolution of hazards and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Training, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain stakeholders to advance compliance objectives.
  • Manage injured-worker cases and support the return-to-work process in accordance with company protocols.
  • Support Environmental Health and Safety compliance training and expand related initiatives.
  • Conduct field inspections and document results using the Real-time Operations Assessment Report system.
  • Support corrective actions resulting from inspection or incident findings.
  • Support Environmental Health and Safety and technical training plans to ensure workgroups meet competency standards.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to develop task-specific risk assessments.
  • Lead and participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor lessons learned, track Environmental Health and Safety performance metrics, and support operations in executing preventive and corrective actions.
  • Interface with clients and customers to address Environmental Health and Safety improvements and initiatives.
