About the job

Requirements
  • Have a technical background in physics, engineering, or computer science with enough depth to engage with research scientists.
  • Have taken scientific or deep-tech software from research prototype to product.
  • Have personally run customer and partner engagements rather than routing them through a sales team.
  • Have worked in a small organization where the product role also performs hands-on work.
  • Be able to facilitate discussions and keep physicists on track.
  • Be comfortable being the only product person present.
  • Be able to make and explain decisions to decline work.
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Have a degree in a technical discipline.
  • Be fluent in English.
Responsibilities
  • Own the roadmap and decisions for the quantum software line.
  • Define which capabilities enter the Constructor technology platform and their order of development.
  • Translate research capabilities into products that external users will pay for or use.
  • Stop work that is not progressing and communicate the decision clearly.
  • Sit between physicists and engineers to keep both groups productive.
  • Run planning and prioritization for a small, senior team.
  • Use sufficient technical depth to challenge both researchers and engineers rather than merely relay information.
  • Own customer, partner, and vendor relationships directly.
  • Work with Constructor Tech and Constructor University on joint offerings and teaching applications.
  • Represent the group externally at conferences and with partners.
Desired Qualifications
  • A postgraduate qualification.
