Requirements
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning, software, cloud, data engineering, or enterprise architecture.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with generative artificial intelligence, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic artificial intelligence, model evaluation, or production artificial intelligence systems.
  • Prior federal technology experience involving artificial intelligence, software engineering, cloud, data, cybersecurity, or application modernization.
  • Experience architecting and delivering secure enterprise or federal artificial intelligence solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with application programming interfaces, data pipelines, vector databases, artificial intelligence orchestration, Model Context Protocol, and machine learning operations.
  • Experience with Federal Authorization to Operate, National Institute of Standards and Technology Risk Management Framework, National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-53, Federal Information Security Modernization Act Moderate, and Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program environments.
  • Experience with Responsible Artificial Intelligence, artificial intelligence security testing, Zero Trust, and Section 508/Web Content Accessibility Guidelines accessibility.
  • A current, verifiable artificial intelligence, machine learning, data engineering, or cloud artificial intelligence certification.
  • U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
  • Eligibility for a federal background investigation.
  • Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC three days per week.
  • Must hold at least one current and verifiable artificial intelligence, generative artificial intelligence, machine learning, data engineering, or cloud artificial intelligence certification from Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake, NVIDIA, CAIP, or an equivalent recognized provider; an official certificate, public badge, or verifiable credential ID is required.
  • Availability during core hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
  • After-hours availability may be required for critical incident escalation.
  • Remote work must be performed within the continental United States.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a favorable Tier 1 background investigation, formerly NACI.
  • Ability to complete required security documentation, confidentiality agreements, Rules of Behavior, mandatory training, and onboarding requirements before receiving system or facility access.
Responsibilities
  • Lead secure artificial intelligence solution architecture, engineering, integration, testing, deployment, and production readiness.
  • Architect generative artificial intelligence, large language model and retrieval-augmented generation, agentic artificial intelligence, Model Context Protocol, vector-search, and machine learning operations solutions.
  • Lead artificial intelligence governance, model evaluation, adversarial testing, Responsible Artificial Intelligence, and Federal Authorization to Operate activities.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams and stakeholders.
