  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license or identification card and reliable transportation are required.
  • Knowledge and application of safety standards through OSHA training and experience are required.
  • Experience working in an industrial workplace is required.
  • The role requires the ability to work within precise limits and standards of accuracy, select and use proper tools, and compare and determine differences in size, shape, and form of objects.
  • The role requires the ability to multitask, work well with others, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, climbing stairs and structures, and stooping.
  • The role requires keyboarding and the ability to read effectively from a computer screen or paper copy.
  • The role requires handling a large volume of work and performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • The role requires effective verbal communication.
  • The role requires working outdoors or in a plant environment, with possible exposure to bad weather, excessive heat, noise, and nearby hazardous chemicals.

  • Proof of U.S. citizenship is required.
  • A satisfactory background check and a score of 2 or less in a DISA background screen are required.
Responsibilities
  • Work safely, follow safe work procedures, look out for coworkers and others at the job site, and stop work if an unsafe condition is present.
  • Assist with installation of mechanical equipment, including motors, fans, gear boxes, drive shafts, mechanical supports, and fan stacks.
  • Read blueprints, sketches, or building plans to identify required materials and dimensions, and liaise with the Foreman for direction.
  • Assist with selecting lumber and other materials for assigned work.
  • Assist with preparing layouts using rulers, tape measures, framing squares, and calipers.
  • Assist with marking cuts, holes, and assembly lines on materials using pencils, chalk, and marking gauges.
  • Assist with shaping materials to prescribed measurements using saws, chisels, and grinders.
  • Assist with assembling cut and shaped materials.
  • Assist with piping and nozzle installation.
  • Assist with erecting framework.
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by the Superintendent, Field and Area Managers, and Foremen.
  • Work at heights as needed while observing 100% tie-off.
  • Perform other work as directed by OBR Field Supervision.
Desired Qualifications
  • OSHA 10 Certification is preferred.
