Requirements
  • A Bac +2/3 qualification in civil engineering, public works, or an equivalent qualification such as a BTS, DUT, or professional bachelor's degree.
  • Basic knowledge of materials resistance and the pathologies of concrete, steel, masonry, and wood.
  • Ability to use measurement tools and work at height.
  • Ability to write reports and use office tools, reporting software, and drawing software such as AutoCAD.
  • A first inspection experience, including internships and work-study placements, is advantageous.
Responsibilities
  • Organize site visits in coordination with the team and clients, including the schedule, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
  • Verify the availability and compliance of measurement equipment, including cameras, crack gauges, and ground-penetrating radar.
  • Perform detailed inspections and IQOA visits to identify and characterize potential defects in structures.
  • Carry out visual surveys, nondestructive testing, and, when necessary, destructive testing such as core sampling and pull-off tests.
  • Identify pathologies including cracks, corrosion, and deterioration of concrete or steel in order to propose corrective measures.
  • Analyze collected data to assess the condition of structures and detect anomalies.
  • Write detailed reports and formulate maintenance or repair recommendations.
