Wolf Popper LLP is investigating Duly Health and Care for potential improper billing practices.

Wolf Popper LLP is investigating Duly Health and Care for potential improper billing practices. Case Updates | 07/24/26 Patients May Have Been Billed Improperly, Charged Amounts Already Paid by Insurance, or Denied Appropriate Credits and Refunds Wolf Popper LLP is investigating potential claims on behalf of patients of Duly Health and Care ("Duly") arising from reports of alleged billing irregularities, insurance-processing failures, and instances where insurance payments may not have been properly credited to patient accounts. Numerous reports describe experiences involving alleged duplicate billing, insurance reimbursements that were not reflected on patient accounts, and patients being pursued for payment despite insurance coverage or prior payments. Wolf Popper's investigation is focused on whether Duly maintained billing, accounting, reimbursement, and insurance-claim practices that may have resulted in patients being charged amounts greater than those legally or contractually owed, and whether insurance proceeds were appropriately credited to patient accounts. The investigation is also examining whether patients were deprived of refunds or credits after insurance payments were received. Patients who received medical treatment from Duly and experienced any of the following may have a claim or information relevant to the investigation: * Being billed after insurance paid a claim; * Paying a bill that was later covered by insurance; * Not receiving an expected refund or account credit; * Receiving collection notices for disputed medical charges; * Being charged amounts inconsistent with explanations of benefits (EOBs); or * Being billed as out-of-network despite representations that services were in-network. Contact Wolf Popper If you were a patient of Duly Health and Care and believe you may have been affected by improper billing, insurance-crediting issues, duplicate charges, and/or refund-related problems, please contact Wolf Popper LLP for a free and confidential consultation. Duly Health becomes first ASC in Illinois to offer Da Vinci 5 surgical robot.

Duly Health becomes first ASC in Illinois to offer Da Vinci 5 surgical robot. 26th, June 2026 Duly Health and Care unveiled the new Da Vinci 5 (DV 5) surgical robot at its Lombard Surgery Center, making it the first ambulatory surgery center in Illinois, and among only five nationally, to offer the latest generation of robotic-assisted surgical technology. "Some of the best surgical outcomes are the complications patients never experience, made possible by the precision and control that robotic technology brings to modern surgery," said Dr. Gregory Grant, lead physician for surgical services at Duly Health and Care. "Robotic technology allows us to perform more complex procedures through minimally invasive approaches, helping patients avoid open surgery, experience less pain, recover faster, and often return home the same day. The DV 5 is another step forward in delivering the safest, most advanced surgical care possible." The DV 5 will support a range of procedures, including urologic, gynecologic, and general surgery. The technology remains rare in free standing outpatient settings, where many patients can receive care and return home the same day. "Our team has helped establish one of the most advanced urologic cancer programs in Illinois, including being the only site in the state to offer outpatient robotic radical prostatectomy with same-day discharge," said Dr. Amit Patel, chair of urology at Duly Health and Care. "The addition of the DV 5 expands our ability to deliver highly specialized cancer care with even greater precision while giving more patients access to leading-edge treatment closer to home." Duly's Lombard Surgery Center is among a small number of ambulatory surgery centers nationwide to operate two robotic surgical systems. The addition of the DV 5 marks another milestone in Duly's continued growth as a leader in ambulatory care throughout the Chicago suburbs. As advances in technology make it possible to perform increasingly complex procedures outside the hospital, Duly is investing in the facilities, physicians, and tools needed to deliver specialized surgical care in convenient outpatient settings closer to where patients live and work. Duly will host a media open house at its Lombard Surgery Center on July 10 at 4:00pm CT, featuring live demonstrations of the DV 5 system and opportunities to speak with surgeons about how robotic-assisted surgery is expanding treatment options for patients across the Chicago region. DMG Surgical Center, LLC dba Duly Surgery Center Lombard. DuPage Medical Group, Ltd. dba Duly Health and Care of Northern Illinois ("Duly") is Duly's Chicagoland medical group.

Duly becomes first ambulatory surgery centre in Illinois to offer Da Vinci 5 surgical robot

Duly Health and Care has become the first ambulatory surgery centre in Illinois to offer the Da Vinci 5 surgical robot, joining only five facilities nationally with the latest robotic-assisted surgical technology. The system was unveiled at Duly's Lombard Surgery Centre. The Da Vinci 5 will support urologic, gynecologic and general surgery procedures. Duly already operates the only site in Illinois offering outpatient robotic radical prostatectomy with same-day discharge. The Lombard facility now operates two robotic surgical systems, a rarity among ambulatory surgery centres. The technology enables more complex procedures through minimally invasive approaches, allowing patients to experience less pain, recover faster and often return home the same day. Duly will host a media demonstration of the system on 10 July.

Illinois surgeon first to use tumour-illuminating tech for ovarian cancer surgery

Dr Sameer Sharma, a gynecologic oncologist at Duly Health and Care in Illinois, has become the first physician in the state to perform ovarian cancer surgery using Cytalux, a newly approved imaging agent that makes cancerous tissue glow under specialised cameras. The technology allows surgeons to detect disease invisible to the naked eye, potentially improving precision in tumor removal. Dr Sharma, who performs approximately 60 advanced ovarian cancer surgeries annually, is among the highest-volume ovarian cancer surgeons in the US. Ovarian cancer claims over 12,000 lives annually in the United States, including nearly 500 in Illinois. Only a small number of specialised health systems nationwide currently offer Cytalux for ovarian cancer surgery, placing Duly amongst select providers delivering this cutting-edge cancer care.
