- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health, forensic, or addictions setting.
- An Associate degree in Psychology or a related study.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Availability for PRN work with flexible hours and six shifts in a six-week schedule, working 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Assist the Registered Nurse with direct, indirect, and non-patient care responsibilities.
- Provide therapeutic groups and activities, milieu counseling, and milieu management as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Perform patient care observation rounds, one-to-one observation, environmental rounds, vital signs, control logs, glucose checks, specimen collections, treatment planning, patient education, visitor and meal monitoring, belongings and body checks, and documentation as needed.
- Use verbal de-escalation techniques and limit-setting to manage disruptive patient behaviors.
- Apply physical restraints as directed.
- Participate in psychiatric codes and Code Grey as a member of the treatment team.
- A Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related study.
