  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing and successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a general or specialized practitioner from an approved nurse practitioner program are required.
  • A current state registered nurse license, current state advanced registered nurse practitioner license with prescriptive authority, and current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification are required.
  • Keyboarding and internet skills and the ability to work with electronic medical records, webpages, and patient portals are required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced nursing care and treatment to patients under the supervision of a physician.
  • Perform physical examinations, order diagnostic tests, develop treatment plans, and prescribe drugs or other therapies.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting and two years of nurse practitioner experience is preferred.
  • The candidate should be compassionate, thorough, focused, and detail-oriented; able to recognize, analyze, and prioritize problems; comfortable dealing with ill patients who need help; outgoing, warm, and helpful; tactful with patients, guests, coworkers, and physicians; and able to communicate clearly with patients by telephone and in person.
