The role

We are looking for a machine learning engineer / data scientist intern for 6 months to join our Al team in Windsor, UK. You’ll be part of a team that is utilising the latest advancements in NLP & Machine Learning to build cutting edge tools and solutions. If you are looking for your first job after finishing university or have a couple of years experience within the skills stated below please read on. 

Your roles and responsibilities include the following:

• Build product and tool features where you will be using technologies such as LLMs, RAG, and NER to improve our core offerings.
• Evaluate and implement state-of-the-art NLP methodologies to drive innovation in our products and tools, and come up with new functionality: we’re looking for fast iterations and a fresh perspective.
• Learn and utilise best practices in MLOps to deploy your work at scale.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers (Data, Infra) and Product Managers to design and deliver robust and scalable NLP solutions.

About You

• A recent university leaver looking to gain work experience as your first job
• A background in computer science, engineering, data science, mathematics, or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable with an object-oriented programming language such as Python.
• Problem solver & self starter. You love tackling difficult problems and finding the best solution and can do that both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Highly self-motivated, responsible, and good at presenting your work.
• Can commute to the Windsor UK office 3 days per week and some travel to the London office for meetings.
• Nice to haves:
  • ML side projects (or coursework), preferably utilising NLP techniques and LLMs.
  • Familiarity/hands-on experience with ML tools and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, pandas, scikit-learn, etc.
  • Basic understanding of MLOps.
