It all begins with a clean plate and that starts with YOU! Are you ready to roll up your sleeves? We’re looking for a Kitchen Steward who values the details, who’s passionate about cleanliness and efficiency as they are about food. 

This is a part time position. 

Your day to day

• Cleaning and sterilising countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks and cooking equipment

• Maintaining food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators

• Receiving and organising deliveries to the kitchen

• Supporting the chefs and other colleagues in basic food preparation, cutting, peeling, and washing

• Removing kitchen waste and washing dirty dishes

What we need from you

• Hospitality kitchen experience is desirable but not essential

• It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so attention to safe manual handling is a must; including occasional lifting/push/pull of heavy items and you may need to bend and kneel to complete some activities 

• High standard of cleanliness and safety at work

• Good reading, writing and basic maths

• Must hold a Food Safety Certificate

• The flexibility to work across a rotating roster including mornings, afternoons, weekends and public holidays  

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and provide outstanding service

• Display a commitment to our guests by consistently maintaining a high level of quality at all times
