Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in journalism, communications or marketing, or an equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training.
  • Three or more years of full-stack development experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Liquid, Node.js, and front-end frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Drupal back-end modules using PHP, YAML, and Composer.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Shopify and Acquia.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Professionalism and commitment to confidentiality, with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and navigate a complex work environment.
  • Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule.
  • Residency in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
  • Guide the marketing and communications efforts of the department.
  • Develop strategic communications, branding, brand management, and marketing strategies for strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and create programs, special event advertising, program materials, proposals, marketing kits, social media, and other communication materials that support division strategic goals, broaden exposure, or promote the image and brand.
  • Develop and create effective methods for marketing strategies and distributing communication materials and information.
  • Train others in the use of communications technology when required.
  • Work with external vendors.
  • Monitor project budgets.
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications, websites, and digital platforms with front-end and back-end frameworks.
  • Support SaaS, enterprise, and cloud-based deployments on Shopify, Acquia, Gravyty, and AlumnIQ.
  • Build core features and custom functionality using JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Liquid, and Node.js.
  • Write scripts to automate deployment, configuration, and API installations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development and production environments.
  • Maintain platform governance, documentation, security, accessibility, and technical standards.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology teams on security, connectivity, and deployment concerns.
  • Partner with the Marketing Intelligence team to translate audience insights into personalized experiences.
  • Perform related responsibilities as required.
