A minimum of 5 years of local southwestern Ontario experience is required.
A Civil Engineering diploma or degree in Environmental Science or Civil Engineering is required.
CCIL certifications in concrete are required.
Understanding of materials testing and inspection, road reconstruction, rebar inspection, and general construction practices is required.
Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills are required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing ability, are required.

Inspect, test, and sample materials for a wide variety of geotechnical and geo-environmental consulting projects involving small and large earthwork projects.
Conduct geotechnical and environmental sampling, soil testing, compaction testing using a nuclear density gauge, subgrade inspections, rebar inspections, concrete testing, laboratory testing, and construction inspections.
Oversee training and lead a team of field technicians.

JLP currently provides a range of Geotechnical Services, including but not limited to: Materials Testing and Inspection, Instrumentation and Monitoring, Shoring Excavation and Monitoring and Foundation Recommendations.

Role Responsibilities:

The work involves geotechnical and environmental sampling, soil testing, compaction testing using nuclear density gauge, subgrade inspections, rebar inspections, concrete testing and lab testing and construction inspection. Additionally, the Senior Geotechnical Supervisor will oversee training, leading and a team of field technicians.
Qualifications:
Civil Engineering diploma, preferably with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering.
CCIL Certifications in concrete required.
