Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least one year of customer service experience in a call center is required, preferably focused on patient care and insurance.
  • Proficiency in electronic clinical documentation and scheduling systems is required.
  • HIPAA compliance is required.
  • Accurate data entry skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously are required.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills are required.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming and outgoing calls to schedule services for new and existing patients in a high-volume call center environment.
  • Use multiple web-based systems to assess patient eligibility, explain insurance costs, and enter data accurately.
  • Handle confidential patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Meet key performance indicators for call adherence, capacity, and attendance.
  • Conduct and document confirmation calls 48 and 24 hours before appointments.
  • Collect and update demographic, insurance, and medical information.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service delivery and resolve operational issues.
  • Complete other assigned duties and special projects.
