Requirements
  • A master's degree, preferably in Education, Counseling, or Human Services, and two years of experience working with middle school and high school students, or a bachelor's degree and four years of related experience.
  • Experience using a variety of computer applications.
  • Attention to detail.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and provide comprehensive support services to Manchester High and Middle Schools.
  • Deliver targeted academic, career, and financial literacy guidance, including financial aid advising, to support students in achieving high school graduation and successful college enrollment and completion.
  • Maintain accurate program records and prepare required data submissions and progress reports.
  • Collaborate with school personnel, community organizations, and other stakeholders to support student success.
  • Recruit, select, and provide services to TRIO-eligible middle school and high school students in the target area.
  • Provide educational, career, college, financial literacy, and financial aid information.
  • Provide academic support and advising individually and in groups.
  • Resolve problems of program participants using appropriate advocacy and assistance.
  • Collect data for program and United States Department of Education reports and maintain necessary records and files on program participants.
  • Work with school personnel and other professional organizations to increase knowledge and continually update and improve the quality of services to participants.
  • Attend seminars, staff meetings, and workshops.
  • Plan, organize, and implement college visits, job-site tours, and other experiences for program participants.
  • Establish contact with parents through workshops, meetings, email, and telephone as needed.
  • Complete additional administrative tasks as needed.
