- Graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Have two years of related clinical nursing experience.
- Hold certification in the American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support.
- Graduate from an accredited Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Education Program.
- Hold board certification in Wound and Ostomy care.
- Serve as a clinical resource and consultant to nursing staff in the care of patients with ostomies, fistula tubes, dermal wounds, incontinence, and other disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems.
- Assist with staff development, staff education, and patient education related to care.
- Continence certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing program development and teaching experience are preferred.
