Requirements
  • 12–15+ years in T&D (utility or consulting) including high voltage substation/line design and grid studies; experience integrating inverter-based resources/BESS highly desirable
  • B.Eng. (electrical) with P.E. or P.Eng. (or eligibility); deep knowledge of North American interconnection standards and protection/controls; familiarity with construction/commissioning practices
  • Ability to coordinate distributed teams/Global Collaboration Centres; commitment to health, safety and environment, quality and rigorous design assurance
Responsibilities
  • Stand up a scalable T&D offering emphasizing owner’s engineer, studies/FEED and detailed design for renewable interconnections and grid-modernization; develop standardized design packages and workflows delivered via Global Collaboration Centres.
  • Lead primary and secondary substation design; define specifications, scopes, calculations and reports; manage QA of design deliverables.
  • Build distribution design capability for overhead and underground networks; deliver concept/detailed designs and cost estimates.
  • Lead pursuit strategy with utilities, transmission developers and renewable independent power producers; integrate with Clean Power leadership and Global Collaboration Centres to drive efficiency and scale.
  • Lead T&D pursuits and delivery; enable hybrid interconnections; embed safety, quality and commercial rigor across teams; travel as needed.
  • Develop and maintain standard libraries, QA checklists and study/design templates to improve productivity and consistency across North America
