Requirements

A Commercial Driver’s License is required upon hire.
American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute certification in Automated External Defibrillator use is required upon hire.
American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute First Aid certification is required upon hire.
A valid driver’s license is required.
The role requires driving a personal vehicle for Riverside Health System business 25% or more of the time to perform essential functions.
Two years of commercial vehicle driving experience is preferred.
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and execute transportation for residents, including medical appointments and facility outings.
Assist departments with transportation needs for residents and prospective residents.
Maintain vehicles and their general upkeep; help the transportation coordinator take vehicles in for maintenance and service calls.
Follow safe practices in accordance with Riverside Health System policies and procedures.
Notify the transportation coordinator or director of resident services when vehicle maintenance is needed.
Plan transportation routes to reduce vehicle mileage and fuel consumption.
Complete paperwork accurately and on time, maintain transportation and maintenance logs for facility vehicles, and record resident participation in facility outings.
Prioritize and complete assignments accurately and on time, including meeting work schedules and deadlines and minimizing customer complaints.
Maintain positive interactions with team members, residents, and visitors; assist customers with billing inquiries, questions, or concerns and follow up in a timely manner.

Hiring Range

$15.60 - $20.25/Hourly
Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.

Overview

Responsible for vehicle maintenance and general up keep. Responsible for helping transportation coordinator get vehicles in for maintenance and service calls.

What you will do

Demonstrates positive customer service behaviors consistently. Strives to meet/exceed the needs of the facility's customers/residents by demonstrating flexibility and sense of urgency to create a service excellence experience.
Responsible for assuring safe practices in accordance with RHS policies and procedures.
Responsible for notifying Transportation Coordinator or Director of Resident Services when required vehicle maintenance is needed.
Demonstrates the ability to plan transportation routes to decrease vehicle mileage and gas consumption.
Completes paper work to ensure that all records are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Responsible for maintaining transportation and maintenance logs for facility vehicles as well as logging residents participation on facility outings.
Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and accomplish assignments with accuracy and timeliness (meeting work schedules, work assignments and completed by deadlines, received minimal customer complaints).
Maintains positive interactions with fellow team members, residents and visitors. Assists customers with billing inquiries, questions or concerns. Provides follow up in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred)

Experience

2 years Experience driving commercial vehicles (Preferred)
