- Expertise in cloud software and AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation.

- Experience with Bash shell scripting, Perl, Python, and/or C#.
- Experience with Jira projects and Confluence for documentation and collaboration.
- A BS in Computer Science, Engineering, related disciplines, or equivalent.
- At least 6 years of experience in software development or engineering.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident who has lived in the United States for at least 3 of the last 5 years and be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a security badge to access applicable government facilities and systems.
- Collaborate with operations teams to understand current processes and pain points and propose modernization strategies.
- Develop solutions that automate manual business processes and streamline operations.
- Work with complex satellite-based data at all stages, including ingest, processing, and dissemination.
- Support efforts to modernize legacy systems, including cloud migrations, containerizations, and infrastructure updates.
- Design and implement cloud-based solutions in AWS environments.
- Leverage DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, and configuration management to ensure efficient deployment and scalability.
- Design, implement, and optimize monitoring systems using the TIG stack: Telegraf, InfluxDB, and Grafana.
- Participate in agile sprints and iterative development to deliver software products.
- Deploy applications in containerized environments such as Docker and ensure smooth integration in mixed Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience supporting federal government mission environments, especially NOAA/NESDIS, is highly preferred.
