About the job

Requirements
  • A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least eight years of progressive experience in IT risk, IT controls, IT SOX, technology assurance, IT audit, or a closely related area.
  • Meaningful in-house technology or corporate ownership experience is required; exclusively advisory or external-audit experience is insufficient without subsequent in-house responsibility.
  • Experience working in a first-line technology, engineering, systems, or IT operations role, or as an embedded in-house risk partner supporting a technology organization.
  • Hands-on experience in an engineering-led technology, cloud, SaaS, platform, or digital-product environment.
  • Strong practical knowledge of SOX 404, ITGCs, IT application controls, automated controls, COSO, and COBIT.
  • Demonstrated experience with control design, implementation, monitoring, evidence review, audit readiness, issue evaluation, and remediation.
  • Practical understanding of cloud infrastructure, identity and access management, DevOps, CI/CD, SDLC, software repositories, deployment practices, system integrations, and container orchestration such as Kubernetes.
  • Experience connecting business-process controls to supporting systems, automated controls, IPEs/IUCs, and underlying IT dependencies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, technical leaders, Finance stakeholders, and external auditors.
  • Strong judgment and confidence to challenge control owners while developing practical, scalable solutions.
  • A highly autonomous, hands-on approach and ability to operate effectively amid evolving processes and competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal English.
  • Ability to work effectively across international time zones and travel when needed to build relationships with key technology and audit stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Act as the risk and controls partner for an assigned technology organization or system portfolio, developing a detailed understanding of its architecture, operations, risks, and financial-reporting dependencies.
  • Own and continuously improve the relevant IT risk and control framework, including system scoping, risk assessment, RCM and control-catalogue maintenance, documentation, and control ownership.
  • Lead IT SOX readiness for assigned systems, including walkthrough preparation, evidence-quality review, testing coordination, issue evaluation, and remediation oversight.
  • Partner with engineering, platform, infrastructure, security, and corporate IT teams to design and implement scalable controls that address risk while supporting operational efficiency.
  • Design, assess, and enhance ITGCs across user access, privileged access, segregation of duties, change management, SDLC, system operations, incident management, and third-party services.
  • Assess IT application controls, automated controls, and IT-dependent business controls, including the completeness and accuracy of system-generated information used in business-process controls.
  • Evaluate how business controls depend on systems, integrations, configurations, reports, and underlying ITGCs, and work with business and IT control owners to resolve gaps.
  • Apply risk and controls thinking to modern engineering practices, including cloud infrastructure, DevOps, CI/CD, repositories, deployment processes, containerized environments, and audit logging.
  • Lead assessment and remediation of control gaps arising from new systems, major technology transformations, platform changes, integrations, and acquisitions.
  • Review third-party assurance reports and determine the impact of vendor controls and complementary user-entity controls on the control environment.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with external auditors and advisers, aligning on audit scope, evidence expectations, testing approaches, reliance opportunities, timelines, and issue resolution.
  • Translate complex technical risks and auditor requirements into practical guidance for engineering and system owners.
  • Use data analytics, automation, continuous monitoring, and AI-assisted tools to improve control coverage, evidence quality, and IT SOX program efficiency.
  • Contribute to the development of IT controls methodology, standards, tooling, training, reporting, and the broader Risk Partner operating model.
  • Provide clear, concise updates on control health, audit readiness, deficiencies, and remediation progress to senior technology and Finance stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications
  • A professional certification such as CISA, CRISC, CISM, CIA, CPA, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience building or materially transforming an IT SOX or technology-controls framework in a listed or pre-IPO technology company.
  • Experience in AI infrastructure, cloud platforms, large-scale SaaS, fintech, marketplaces, or another engineering-intensive environment.
  • Experience with GRC and audit-management tools such as Workiva, Jira, ServiceNow GRC, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS and financial systems such as NetSuite, HR platforms, billing systems, procurement tools, or treasury systems.
  • Experience onboarding acquired companies or newly implemented systems into SOX scope.
  • Experience with control automation, continuous monitoring, data analytics, or AI-assisted assurance.
  • Exposure to AI governance, AI/ML control environments, or controls supporting AI-enabled development and operations.

About the company

Nebius runs an AI cloud for developers, researchers, and enterprises that train models and put them into production. Its AI Cloud combines GPU computing, storage, networking, and managed services, while Token Factory runs models through an API so teams do not manage the underlying servers. Customers rent computing and storage at usage rates or reserve capacity, choosing resources that fit short experiments or sustained production workloads. Beyond the cloud, the group owns Avride, which develops autonomous vehicles and delivery robots, and TripleTen, which teaches technical skills for people changing careers. The publicly listed group is headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Neoclouds explained: GPU providers behind the AI boom face a $3.5T impairment risk

Neoclouds, specialist providers that rent out GPU capacity for AI training and inference, have gone from unknown startups to listed companies with contracts worth billions of dollars. CoreWeave, Nebius and IREN lead the listed group; Lambda, Crusoe and Fluidstack remain private. Their shares fell hard in October 2026. CoreWeave dropped 29%, leaving it valued at about $34 billion against a 2025 peak of about $90 billion; Nebius fell 27% and IREN 32%. CoreWeave's unsecured debt yielded about 15%. On October 14, 2026, Gartner predicted that more than 80% of neocloud providers will stop operating independently by 2030. It also warned that more than $3.5 trillion of AI infrastructure spending could face impairment. Demand remains strong. CoreWeave co-founder Brannin McBee said nearly all of its 2027 capacity is sold.

Nebius launches public live GPU spot pricing and adds $10M in grants for Europe's AI builders

Nebius (Nasdaq: NBIS), the AI cloud company, has launched public live spot pricing for GPU compute, giving teams more visibility and control over costs. Prices are available at nebius.com/spot-prices and on Shadeform, Silicon Data, and GPU Finder. The company is also offering reserve auctions for short-term capacity blocks and pay-as-you-go access. It is piloting a rebate programme that lets customers return idle GPUs to the spot pool. Nebius runs capacity in Finland, France, the UK, Spain, Estonia, and Iceland. Customers include Black Forest Labs, Photoroom, Prosus, and bunq. The Nebius AI Builder Program is expanding across Europe with an additional $10 million in compute grants.

Nebius says AI computing prices are rising faster than expected as investors question neocloud model

Nebius is seeing AI computing prices rise faster than expected, chief revenue officer Marc Boroditsky told CNBC on Wednesday. The view comes as investors question the neocloud business model after CoreWeave's borrowing costs spiked. Boroditsky said Nebius does not carry CoreWeave's level of debt. An auction for computing capacity on Tuesday showed continued rises in price per megawatt, he said, and 2027 capacity would sell out if brought online. Crusoe chief executive officer Chase Lochmiller also reported higher prices for older Nvidia chips than when they were first deployed. Nebius shares rose after SpaceX said revenue at its AI business jumped ninefold to $7.56 billion.

Musk calls AI capacity glut talk "ridiculous", lifting CoreWeave and Nebius after SpaceX's $14.58B quarter

Elon Musk lifted neocloud stocks a week after hurting them, saying talk of excess AI infrastructure capacity is "ridiculous." He spoke on SpaceX's earnings call late Tuesday. "I do not think we are going to have a demand issue here," Musk said. He added that a six-month payback period for compute next year is not impossible. Last week, Musk replied "Yikes" on X to a post about rising yields on CoreWeave's bonds, which helped fuel a sell-off in CoreWeave and Nebius shares. In pre-market trading Wednesday, CoreWeave and Nebius each gained 2%, and IREN rose 3%. SpaceX's third-quarter revenue was $14.58 billion, up 161% year over year and above analyst estimates of $12.7 billion. Earnings per share were $0.35, $0.20 ahead of forecasts.
