Hardware Design Engineer - Global Product Development
About the job
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field is required.
- Strong expertise in circuit design and verification of electronic circuits is required, ideally with knowledge of relevant standards and regulatory requirements, including EMC, CE, and UL.
- Hands-on laboratory and workshop experience is required, particularly in measurement technology and/or soldering.
- Excellent English language skills at C1/C2 level are required.
- Excellent German language skills at C1/C2 level are required.
- Willingness to undertake a long-term international assignment of 1 to 3 years at a subsidiary in Germany, Switzerland, or the United States, following an initial onboarding and training period of 1 to 2 years in Graz.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, a passion for collaboration in international environments, quality awareness, analytical thinking, and a structured, solution-oriented working style are required.
- Develop and coordinate innovative electronic concepts in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Design, specify, and develop electronic circuits and create schematics.
- Develop and implement PCB testing concepts in coordination with manufacturing.
- Perform technical reviews and approvals of PCB designs together with the layout team.
- Conduct verification and functional testing of electronic circuits and assemblies.
- Support the transfer of new products into series production, including system-level and EMC testing.
- Contribute to the entire product development process, from concept development to market launch, working closely with international locations and software development, mechanical design, manufacturing, and product management teams.
