About the company

Morison Insurance arranges personal and commercial insurance for people and businesses across Ontario, matching their needs with coverage from Canadian insurers. Its brokers review a customer's property, activities and existing policies, then compare prices and explain the protection available. The brokerage handles home and car insurance alongside cover for farms, contractors and recreational vehicles, so clients use it for both household and business risks. Customers keep working with their broker as circumstances change and policies come up for renewal, while the brokerage earns commissions included in insurance premiums. Morison Insurance is headquartered in Mount Hope, Ontario.

What believers are saying

  • Hours are defined: Morison advertises a 35-hour Monday-to-Friday workweek, with extra paid days off at Christmas.
  • Giving back gets paid time: every Morison employee receives one annual volunteer day with a chosen local registered charity.
  • Prospecting starts with supplied leads: Morison feeds warm prospects to its full-time Hamilton Digital Sales Personal Lines Insurance Broker.

What critics are saying

  • Extra insurer income fluctuates: Morison's contingent commissions are not guaranteed and use average results over three years.
  • Remote work is excluded: Morison's Hamilton Commercial Insurance Account Manager works in-office; the role is full-time.
  • Claims responses are timed: Morison's full-time Insurance Claims Specialist in Hamilton must contact clients within 24 hours of initial reports.

What makes Morison Insurance unique

  • Decisions stay independent: Morison remains family-owned and works for clients rather than any single insurance company.
  • Claims support stays inside Morison: its own claims team guides customers and advocates with insurers.
  • Training has dedicated staff: Morison keeps in-house trainers in the building and reimburses continuing education.
