Requirements
  • Graduate of AMA Approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • Must be enrolled in a qualified Computed Tomography program.
  • Current BLS Certification (Basic Life Support).
  • Current ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Current NJ-RADTECH License (Radiologic Technologist).
  • Experience in General, Trauma and Emergency Department settings.
Responsibilities
  • Operates the CT scanner during interventional radiology procedures in the CT department.
  • Performs CT procedures following protocols established by the Radiologist.
  • Adheres to Infection Prevention policies and utilizes the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment needed.
  • Maintains licensure and BLS.
  • Stays current and participates departmental training offered.
  • Participates in Department On Call and Holiday Requirements.
  • Demonstrates courteous behavior and positive attitude through polite communication with all co-workers/customers.
  • Understands and appreciates the need to provide good customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Participates in clinical activities (i.e. assists with patient flow/care, helps to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Transport).
  • Remains compliant with timekeeping rules: Avoids early, late and unauthorized entries. Adheres to Departmental procedures, fulfills compliance with life safety, fire and hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Prevention requirements.
  • Attends staff meetings and reviews daily huddles to keep current on department communications.
  • Maintains work area: Reports maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies and deficiencies.
Desired Qualifications
  • ARRT Board Certified in Computed Tomography preferred. If not at the time of hire, within 12 months of employment.
  • Experience with Pediatrics and Cardiac preferred but not necessary
